AN INITIATIVE TO EMPOWER THE MOTHERS OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
It is great to see how the awareness for special needs is spreading. More and more are being enabled to reach their potential and live with some dignity and self-esteem.
During our exposure to these children we have seen a large number of equipments, facilities and schemes coming up for their progress. However we have also realized that there is also another group, in the background who need some support – They are the mothers of these children who pour all their love & devotion, time and energy into helping them. They are truly the unsung heroes of this movement.
This initiative is dedicated to the loving mothers of the children with special needs studying in “Kodagu Vidyalaya Opportunity School”, Madikeri, North Kodagu. The “Opportunity School” has been imparting free education to children with special needs since 1996.
All the products are made by the mothers and the proceeds will go to them.
